Every opportunity to design is not just an opportunity to make a visual masterpiece. But, also an opportunity to make a brand, influence people with a message, capture someone’s attention, or encourage people to make a choice.

My belief has always been that a "good" design looks great, whereas a "great" design looks great but also fulfills its ultimate end goal.

Being influenced by the writings and research of Betty Edwards, I'm a believer in the importance of utilising all of one’s creative energies with paper and pen before using something as mechanical and methodical as a computer. This allows for the creative juices to run freely, which, in itself is a large step away from producing a mediocre design.

With my formal round of design study finished, the life study of design never ceases. Everyday there is always something to learn, something to start putting into practice. In the scope of design, I'm always on the hunt to find the better way of doing something or learning a new skill. But ultimately, any effort put into the development of myself as a designer, is simply for the joy of creating.
